I am a Spanish teacher at St. Bernards High School in Massachusetts. I am also enrolled in the Curriculum and Instruction Master of Education program at the University of Massachusetts in Lowell. I earned a Bachelor's degree in English and  Philosophy (Summa Cum Laude)  from Clark University and received an Associate’s Degree in English: Literature Concentration from Middlesex Community College in Lowell, MA

I am interested in curriculum design, assessment, lesson planning, and educational technology. I'm interested in questions like: should students get involved in assessment? Where is the line between formative assessment and summative assessment? How can educators best use formative and summative assessments? What counts as instructional feedback? How can educators motivate students to embrace the process of assessment?

I'm originally from El Salvador, Central America. My short-term goal is to become a great educator. My long-term goal is to support educational systems in Latin American countries that are in need of better education.
